I’m looking forward to preforming A Child’s Christmas in Wales at Kelly Morgan'‘s Creative Life Holiday gathering on Friday, December 18, 5 pm Pacific Time. I memorized this 24-minute prose poem in 1987 and have been performing it every Christmas since.
The language in A Child’s Christmas in Wales will delight you with every sentence. The images in the slide show come from home movies my father shot when I was growing up in Western North Carolina during the 1950s. I always think of childhood in Western North Carolina when I preform Dylan Thomas’ lovely poem every year at this time.
