It's been nearly three years since Allegra Huston and I embarked on our exciting journey with the Free Saturday Imaginative Storm Writing Prompt of the Week workshop. Every Saturday, from 10–11:15 am MT (12–1:15 pm ET), we welcome around 30 enthusiastic writers to our virtual gathering on Zoom. Here's how our creative time unfolds:

• Inspiration Kick-off: We begin with a provocative image that sparks imagination.

• Word Play: Participants create personal word lists derived from the image.

• Community List Formation: We then combine a word or phrase from each writer into a shared list.

• Writing Sprint: Armed with both lists, we dive into a focused 10-minute writing session.

• Sharing in Zoom Rooms: Post-writing, we split into smaller Zoom rooms to read our creations aloud.

• Exquisite Corpse Creation: Returning to the main room, each writer contributes one line vocally, which I then edit into an Exquisite Corpse and upload to YouTube.

• Salon-Style Discussion: We wrap up with a 15-minute salon conversation, discussing topics and ideas sparked during our session.
